The collection

Three directions

  • Three pendant lights made from cut glass bottles in clear and deep green, against a warm plaster wall

    Pendant Lighting

Pendants and clusters cut from whole bottles, hung on cloth cord and brass.

  • Vases, tumblers, a carafe and a bowl made from reclaimed green and clear bottle glass on a travertine plinth

    Table Objects

Vases, tumblers and carafes — each shaped by the bottle it began as.

  • A floor-to-ceiling wall of reclaimed glass bottles in backlit dark timber shelving above a stone counter

    Bottle Displays

Backlit bottle walls and shelving for bars, restaurants and retail.

The studio

An Indian studio working in second-hand glass.

Kaanchify makes lighting, decorative objects and architectural installations from glass that was headed for the waste stream. We work with cafés, bars, restaurants, retail spaces and homes — designing each piece around the character of the bottles it comes from.

Nothing is melted down and remade into something anonymous. The bottle is the beginning of the design.

About Kaanchify

A second life for glass, started by one person and a pile of bottles.

Founded in 14 September 2026

Who I am

I'm Roshan Yadav, the founder of Kaanchify. I kept noticing how much beautiful glass — whisky, wine and beer bottles with real weight, colour and form — ends up thrown away. I wanted to approach that material as a designer first: patiently, with respect for the craft, and with the honesty a small, growing business should have.

Why I started Kaanchify

A discarded bottle still has value beyond what it once held. Cut, ground and reworked, it can become lighting, decorative objects, bottle displays and custom installations. I started Kaanchify to bring those pieces into cafés, bars, restaurants, rooftop venues, liquor shops, retail spaces and homes — places that deserve to feel memorable — by combining thoughtful design, material reuse and careful craftsmanship in work that also makes sense commercially.

Our mission

To give discarded glass a second life through carefully designed, functional and distinctive products — balancing material reuse with craftsmanship, everyday practicality and individual expression, for both commercial and residential spaces.

Where we're heading

My ambition is to grow Kaanchify from individual pieces into a recognisable design brand. In time, I hope to:

  • Expand the range of lighting, home décor and functional glass objects.
  • Create bespoke bottle displays and installations for hospitality and retail.
  • Work with commercial clients on distinctive interior concepts.
  • Build a consistent design identity and a portfolio of original products.
  • Grow a business that values craftsmanship, responsible reuse and lasting design.
  • Explore collaborations, new materials and new product categories.

“A bottle that's been emptied isn't the end of its story. Here, it's where the next one begins.”

Our principles

  • 01

    Reclaim

We collect discarded bottles before they reach landfill — glass with colour, weight and history already in it.

  • 02

    Reimagine

Every form is drawn around the glass we actually have. The material leads; the drawing follows.

  • 03

    Recraft

Cut, ground and finished by hand, then built to be kept — not consumed.
